Tyl Merchant Cash Advance Finance UK

UK businesses that take card payments through Tyl by NatWest could apply for a merchant cash advance or merchant loan. A cash advance lets you borrow against your future card takings and repay as a percentage of sales rather than a fixed monthly amount.

Disclaimer: We are not affiliated with Tyl or NatWest.

Tyl by NatWest is NatWest Group’s own card acceptance service, launched in 2019. It supplies card machines, online payments and payment links, and you do not need to bank with NatWest to use it.

If your business takes payments through a Tyl terminal, you could apply for a cash advance. Fill in the form below to apply.

Tyl Cash Advance Finance

A merchant cash advance is repaid as a percentage of your card takings rather than as a fixed monthly payment, so the repayment flexes with your trade. Our merchant cash advance page explains how the product works in full. We work with a number of lenders that will fund against Tyl sales.

Who Uses Tyl

Most Tyl merchants are NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland or Ulster Bank business customers who took the bank’s own card service when they opened or moved their account. That covers a broad spread of high street retail, hospitality and trades. Before Tyl existed, NatWest referred its customers to Worldpay, so an established NatWest business may have switched from Worldpay to Tyl and have statements under both names. Either works for an application. A NatWest customer who has already been turned down for a loan by the bank is a common Tyl enquiry, and a bank decline has no bearing on what a cash advance lender will do, because the lender is buying your card sales rather than assessing you as the bank did.

  • Trading for at least three months
  • Minimum card turnover of around £3,000 a month
  • Borrow up to 200% of your average monthly Tyl card sales
  • Most business sectors covered, funds for any legitimate business purpose
  • Poor credit considered, because the lender is buying future sales rather than lending against your credit file

Example

Average monthly card sales: £17,000
Amount of finance: £17,000
Factor rate: 1.23
Total repayment: £20,910
Repayment sweep: 10%

In this example you borrow £17,000 and repay 10% of your future card takings until you have repaid £20,910. Some facilities carry a minimum monthly payment. Figures are illustrative and not a quotation.
